SMR Fire & Security are fire and security system engineers based in Hull and East Yorkshire who have gained reputation in the industry for providing excellent standards of workmanship together with a real understanding of the customer needs.

Since our formation we have adopted a customer first approach and all of our staff are aware that our customer is the most important person in our business. We believe as an independent company keeping customers happy is one of our top priorities. Our fair rates and 1st class customer service separates us from others within the industry.​

We pride ourselves on outstanding workmanship, clever engineering and most of all our safe working practices. Safety along with customer service is our top priority and we believe that nothing should be done unless it is done safely!. That’s why at SMR Fire and Security we adopt the highest of safety standards and except any challenges positively to improve safety wherever we can. To show our commitment to Health and Safety SMR became accredited and approved members of the SSIP schemes SafeContractor, where we had to under ago an external audit to show our Health and Safety competency.

All of our engineers have been educated and trained with safety in mind and all engineers who are site based possess as a minimum a CSCS card which is a national recognised scheme that provides proof that individuals working on sites have the required training and qualifications to carry out their work correctly and safely. Most of our Engineers have IOSH certificates and also IPAF licences.

Our Project manager who looks after the day to day health and safety for SMR from Training, Site safety audits and producing Risk assessments and Method statements is a Technical member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and has several years working in Health and Safety within high hazard industries.
